This free clinic at Paul Brown Stadium gives 300 area youth the chance to learn the fundamentals of the game, the values of sportsmanship and the importance of an education.
The 8th annual Kroger Marvin Lewis Football Camp, presented by P&G and Heinz, took place June 6-8, 2016 at Paul Brown Stadium. Camp was hosted by ProCamps in partnership with CBTS, allowing us to offer this free event to over 300 kids which included instruction in the fundamentals of football from Coach Lewis, members of the Bengals coaching staff and volunteer coaches.
Each year the campers, ages 7-14, receive group instruction, a photo with Coach Lewis, and a camp t-shirt and hat. They also get a chance to compete for the title of “Camper of the Day”, which could earn them great prizes, including game-worn Bengals gear and autographed items. Additionally, our friends at Chick-fil-A, Gold Star Chili, LaRosa’s, Frito-Lay and Pepsi make sure the campers don’t go hungry by providing dinner each night after camp.
The campers not only receive expert instruction on the fundamentals of football but also get to experience what it feels like to play in an NFL Stadium along with the opportunity to meet some of the Bengals players each night at camp. Who knows, we might see one of these youngsters back on the field someday in a Bengals uniform!
